Exterior Car Detailing
1. Hand Wash and Drying
This step isn’t your regular car wash. Our professional detailers use specific tools and techniques to ensure your car’s paint isn’t damaged during the process. Hand washing and drying allows for a gentle, yet effective removal of dirt, dust, and other contaminants that often slip past a regular car wash.
2. Clay Bar Treatment
- This procedure uses a clay bar to gently lift and remove contaminants, dust particles, and any over-spray from the car’s exterior. The result? A smooth, contaminant-free surface that is ready for waxing and polishing.
3. Waxing and Polishing
- This step not only adds a beautiful shine to your vehicle but also provides a protective layer against scratches, stains, and weather damage. This treatment ensures that your car continues to turn heads long after the detailing process.
4. Tire and Wheel Cleaning
- Regular cleaning of tires and wheels prevents the buildup of harmful substances like brake dust, which can lead to corrosion if left unchecked. This process is vital for maintaining your car’s performance and aesthetic appeal.
5. Headlight Restoration
- Headlight restoration is another significant component of exterior detailing. Over time, headlights can become dull or cloudy, which can affect visibility. Through restoration, your headlights will shine bright and clear, enhancing safety as well as the overall look of your car.
Lastly, other procedures like chrome polishing and door jambs cleaning add to the car’s final look. Chrome polishing makes those metal parts shine like new, while door jambs cleaning removes dirt and grease that often gets overlooked. These finishing touches prove that when it comes to detailing, nothing is left for chance.
Interior Car Detailing
Now, let’s step inside your car for a closer look at interior detailing. This process is important in order to maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment inside your vehicle.
1. Starting with vacuuming
A simple process, yet so important. Using a high-power vacuum, Detailers remove all the dirt, dust, and bacteria hiding in your carpets, seats, and other surfaces. This step ensures a healthier, cleaner space for you and your passengers.
2. Upholstery Cleaning Upholstery
- Especially crucial if you have leather seats. Over time, seats can accumulate stains and wear out, especially leather ones. Detailers use special cleaners and conditioners to restore the seats to their original condition, extending their lifespan and maintaining your car’s interior appearances
3. Glass Cleaning
- Then comes glass cleaning. It’s not just about aesthetics. Clean windows and mirrors enhance visibility, making your driving experience safer. Using high-quality products, detailers remove any smudges, stains, or streaks on your windows and mirrors.
4. Odor Removal
Next on the list is odor removal. There’s nothing worse than a car that smells bad. Detailers use various techniques to eliminate unpleasant odors, leaving your car smelling fresh and clean. Plus, it improves the overall air quality inside your vehicle, creating a more comfortable ride for you and your passengers.
Lastly
detailers pay close attention to other areas like the dashboard, vinyl surfaces, and air vents, among others. Conditioning the dashboard helps to prevent cracking and fading, while cleaning vinyl surfaces and air vents ensures every inch of your interior is clean. These additional steps demonstrate the thoroughness of car detailing which contribute to a more enjoyable driving experience.

Spring Auto Detailing
As spring time starts coming temperature starts rising. Making it the perfect time to provide protection to your car. The reason why it is important to refresh your Car's protection in spring is due to winter the salt used on roads in snowstorms can be very damaging to your Car and will damage your wax. If it is not treated and that salt stays on the car for a long time it will remove all the protection of your wax and will surely damage your car's paint. This will result it in your Car becoming dirty sooner and might need a full paint job sooner than you think. So after winter there is a high probability that your wax is not in good condition and needs to be refreshed. So you should get your car waxed again and before Waxing Cay Barring Treatment will be a plus.
Summer Auto Detailing
Summer comes with a higher temperature and damage Sun's UV rays. So it is very important to get your Car ready for all the damages with a Coating of Wax Protection. The Sun's harsh UV rays can fade the color of your Car and if you have a red Car, then Waxing becomes compulsory as it is more prone to being Oxidized. Mobile Works Auto Detailing in Lexington SC also recommends using Wax or applying Paint Sealant to all Exterior windows this will make it safer and easier to drive in the rain. When it comes to Interior Detailing, you can use UV protective products to dress interior in order to stop fading and cracking.
Fall Auto Detailing
As winter is the most damaging season for Car Detailing, you can use the time in Fall to gain extra protection against it. During Fall, the temperature is quite moderate, so you should use that time to add extra protection to the exterior of your Car. As the first snowfall occurs, you should have enough protection to protect from damaging effects of road salt. You can use durable Waxes during this time and use multiple coats for maximum protection.
Winter Auto Detailing
During winter you job is to protect your Car as much as possible. As you already have Potection from Wax which you applied in the Fall, you can Clean your Vehicle as frequent as possible to avoid any build-up of road salt. The longer you will let the road salt stays on your Car's surface the more time it will have to damage your Car's Wax Protection. Also avoid direct contact with your Paint during the winter, which means never use a snow scraper or brush to remove snow this will damage too much damage your car's paint and there will be Scratches and Swirls all over. To remove snow, you can use hot water or any other safe heating element.
